Notes - Very rare player shirt believed to have been issued to or worn by a #3 during the 1996-97 season. This classic Le Coq Sportif design was worn as Airdrieonians finished runners-up in the Scottish Division One under the management of Alex MacDonald. The Diamonds faced Hibernian in the promotion/relegation playoffs - Hibs won the first leg 1–0 at Easter Road, and went on to win the second leg by 4-2 at Broadwood Stadium.
