Notes - Serie A boots made as one several Diadora player releases during the mid 1990s, with this model dedicated to then Parma and Colombia striker Faustino Asprilla. Crafted with a lightweight synthetic upper, this boot is designed in a similar style to traditional leather models, offering soft touch, durability and comfort but with a man-made alternative material. An enlarged tongue supports the Diadora name and Serie A print, while a personalised Faustino Asprilla signature can be found on the outside of each boot. A textile lined midsole region offers complete comfort for the foot and extra padding has been added to both insoles to help absorb shock from the soleplate. The outsole is made entirely from rubber, consisting of 17 studs that are configured especially for use on firm ground surfaces. Asprilla played a key role in the Parma side of the early 90s, with his goals securing him a place in the Colombian World Cup side in 1994 before winning the UEFA Cup back in Italy the year after. The striker famously made his move to Tyneside in 1996, where two year spell with Newcastle United brought some memorable moments including a famous hat-trick in a 3-2 win over Barcelona during the 1997/98 Champions League campaign.
