Rare home shirt as worn in an immensely successful season for Blues as they topped Division Two and also triumphed over Carlisle in the Auto Windscreens Shield Final. Barry Fry’s men would record several impressive victories in this campaign, including a 5-0 thrashing of eventual title rivals Crewe Alexandra in early November and a 7-1 demolition of Blackpool on New Year’s Eve. Blues’ league success would be topped off with a golden goal victory in the Auto Windscreens Shield Final. A goal from Paul Tait in extra time would seal the win in front of a 76,000-strong crowd. Steve Claridge would top score for the St Andrew's side with 25 in all competitions
