Goals from Kevin Gallacher, John Collins and Scott Booth saw the visitors claim a 3-0 win in this one, Bowman played the full match in midfield. The veteran Dundee United man earned 6 caps in total between 1992-93 and was part of Andy Roxburgh's Euro 1992 squad but didn't feature at the Finals in Sweden. He spent the majority of his club career with Dundee United over a 12 year period, amassing over 400 club matches, where he played in the 1987 UEFA Cup Final and also won the 1993-94 Scottish Cup also staring for Coventry, Hearts and Raith Rovers. The midfielder wore short-sleeves in this match and this is believed to have been a spare prepared to match specifications ahead of the match.
