Notes

Home shirt as worn as Osvaldo Ardiles's reign at the club came to an end after a 15th place Premiership finish and a poor start to the 1994 season. The close season had been a nervous time for all involved at White Hart Lane as the FA imposed a 12 point deduction and a ban from the 1994 FA Cup for financial irregularities committed under the club's previous owners during the 1980s - this was appealed and over turned (with an increased fine given) by owner Alan Sugar who citied that those involved were no longer part of Tottenham. Gerry Francis took over from the Argentine and lead the side to their best Premiership finish in five years and an FA Cup Semi-Final where Spurs lost to eventual winners Everton
