Notes - Extremely rare player shirt believed to have been worn by Verlaat in the UEFA Cup 1st Round 2nd leg match against Tenerife played Stade Abbé-Deschamps on the 29th September 1993. The 1st leg in the Canary Islands had finished in an entertaining 2-2 draw which but Auxerre in the box seat with two away goals. Unfortunately things did not go to plan at home for AJA with Felipe Miñambres securing a 1-0 win for the La Liga outfit. Verlaat played the full match as Guy Roux's men toiled to find an equaliser, unable to do so even after the visitors had gone down to 10 men. This design was also used in the 92-93 UEFA Cup campaign but with a Commodore sponsor when the side went all the way to the Semi Finals. Verlaat spent 3 years at the Stade de l'Abbé-Deschamps after signing from Lausanne in '92 and made over 100 league appearances in this time for the club
