Notes - Home shirt as worn by Matthäus during the 92-94 period when the side were World Champions and therefore featured in a number of friendly matches to prepare for USA 94. Germany competed in the 1992 European Championship, reaching the finals but were victims of a shock defeat to Denmark in the final. The midfielder was not able to take part in Euro '92 due to injury, therefore was forced to watch his country compete from the sidelines
