Notes - Top-range Adidas Copa Mundial boots crafted in West Germany some time during the early 1990s - widely regarded as one of the greatest boots ever made. Adidas released the first Copa Mundial boot back in 1979, initially for the 1982 World Cup in Spain and nearly 50 years on, it still remains one of the best selling silos in world football. This boot comes with a full 'K' leather upper and the classic over-sized tongue which has featured on every boot in the silo since the original release, along with the classic black and white colourway. Silver 'Copa Mundial' print appears on the outside of both boots which remains an iconic feature even on re-releases today. The soleplate is made with 12 rubber coated studs on a PU outsole that is designed for optimal use on firm ground surfaces. This model is believed to have been released around the same time of the 1990 World Cup in Italy where West Germany famously triumphed with a 1-0 win over Argentina in final. The Copa Mundial was memorably worn by many of the West Germany squad at the competition that summer.
