The Vancouver Canucks showed significant promise during the 1990-91 season, highlighted by the arrival of Pat Quinn as head coach mid-season and the emergence of young star Trevor Linden, who led the team with 33 goals and 70 points. Despite a hard-fought opening-round series against the eventual Western Conference champion Los Angeles Kings, the campaign laid a strong foundation for the franchise's successful run in the early 1990s.
