Notes - Extremely rare player shirt believed to have been issued to or worn by a #14 during the 1986 World Cup Qualifying Group 6 match against Republic of Ireland played at Lansdowne Road, Dublin on 2nd June 1985. This was the first time the sides had met in the group, and the Swiss were looking to bounce back after suffering a 4-0 defeat to the Soviet Union last time out. However, things did not improve much as they lost out 3-0 after goals from Stapleton, Grealish and Sheedy sealed a comfortable win for the home side. Rossocrociati went on to draw their last 3 matches and as such missed out on qualifying after they finished in 3rd place, 2 points behind Soviet Union. The identity of #14 is unknown, but it will have been an unused substitute
