Notes - Ultra rare player shirt believed to have been worn by Narey for the exhibition match against the Irish League XI, played at Fir Park in Motherwell on 1st November 1978. The sides had last met back in 1969 when the Scotts had run out 3-0 winners at Ibrox. The likes of Alan Rough, Peter Marinello and Tommy Burns took to the field alongside Narey for the Scottish League XI as the side's played out a 1-1 draw. Ards striker Armstrong found the net for the Irish whilst Fir Park native Willie Pettigrew found the net for the hosts. Narey played the full match in what was his only appearance for the Scottish League XI. The defender earned 35 caps in total for his country between 1977-89 featuring in World Cup Finals at Spain 82' and Mexico 86'. At club level he spent the bulk of his career at Tannadice Park with Dundee United helping the Terrors win the top flight in 1983 and picked up back-to-back League Cups in 79' and 80'.
