Rare third shirt shirt as worn when the side clinched their first Bundesliga title since 1992 thanks to an outstanding run late in the season winning all of their last 8 games including a thrilling 2-1 final day victory over Energie Cottbus. It was one of the closest Bundesliga title races in years with just 4 points separating the top three. The side came so close to completing a domestic double but were beaten 3-2 by Nürnberg in the DFB Pokal Final in extra-time.
