Notes - Rare home shirt belived to have been worn by or issued to Fabrizio Ficini to as worn when the side returned to Serie A and after ending the season in great form under new boss Luigi Cagni managed a respectable 7th place finish. This turned out to be Fabrizio Ficini last season of football after he had decided to retire at the end of the season. He had played over 250 times for Empoli and will be remembered fondly by the Gli Azzurri faithful
