Player - Tough tackling centre-back Vica #3
Features
Notes - Extremely rare player shirt believed to have been worn by Vica in the friendly match against Manchester United played at Old Trafford on the 6th August 1986. The match was billed as the Prince of Wales Trust International Challenge but it was supposed to be Fluminense's great rivals Flamengo who were the opposition in this exhibition game to raise funds for the charity. Flu proved to be a more than able stand-in, holding the Red Devils to a 0-0 draw in front of a crowd of 32,275 fans. The game was decided by a penalty shoot-out which United won 4-3 in what was the first game of their pre-season schedule. Vica starred for the side between 1984-88 before joining Coritiba but would return for a brief second spell with Fluzão in 1992.
