Notes - Cup shirt released for the upcoming Bundesliga season in which the hopes of Die Borussen will rest on their crop of spectacular young talent headlined by staggering star striker Erling Haaland, having lost Jadon Sancho in a £73m deal with Manchester United. The side will look to interrupt Bayern's streak of nine consecutive league titles, having finished third in the previous campaign. In-keeping with the Puma third kits released for the '21-22 season, the design initially featured a central BVB 09 detail instead of the customary club crest, but fan pressure led to two mid-season adaptations of the design; first to add a barely-visible outlined crest, then finally the familiar BVB badge. It will be used exclusively in cup competitions, both domestic and European. Interestingly, the Dortmund yellow has been tweaked to resemble more closely the fluorescent yellow hues of the shirts worn in the 1990s
