Notes -Home shirt as worn by Smith Rowe in the season when the Gunners hoped to bring Champions League football back to the Emirates, fighting for European places with rivals Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United. The campaign got off to a turbulent start, as manager Unai Emery was sacked in November after a string of poor results, to be replaced as boss by former Arsenal man and Manchester City assistant manager Mikel Arteta. The young English midfielder made his first two Premier League appearances for the Gunners in December 2019, replacing Mesut Özil in the 59th minute in the 3-0 loss to Manchester City before starting in the 0-0 draw with Everton. The Croydon-born midfielder then joined Championship side Huddersfield on loan in January, making 19 appearances, scoring twice, the latter of which was an 86th minute winner against West Brom which secured Championship safety for the Terriers
