Notes - Away shirt as worn during the season in which the side continued to cement their place as one of the top English sides as they finished in the top 4 for the fourth consecutive season ensuring Champions League qualification for the following campaign. It was in the Champions League where the side continued to defy the odds to make a historical first appearance in the final of the competition. The side looked set to exit at the Group Stage after just 1 point in the first 3 matches but eventually progressed thanks to a late Lucas goal against Barcelona and a favourable draw between Inter Milan and PSV on the final match day. The side breezed past Dortmund in the first knockout round before facing Manchester City. The second leg produced some of the most fascinating scenes of recent seasons as 5 goals were scored in just the opening 21 minutes. Tottenham were set to progress on away goals but seemed to be undone in the dying seconds of the match only for Raheem Sterling to be deemed offside after a tense VAR check. The Semi-Final saw Ajax sitting comfortably on a 3-0 aggregate lead at half time of the second leg, Lucas managed to grab 2 goals in the space of 5 minutes to bring hope to the Tottenham fans and deep into injury time completed his hat trick to take Tottenham through on away goals once again
