Notes - Very rare player shirt believed to have been worn by Madine for the Premier League match against Chelsea, played at Stamford Bridge on 15th September 2018. The Bluebirds were yet to win in their return to the top flight having picked up just two points from their opening 4 games thus far. They suffered another defeat here in a 4-1 loss to Maurizio Sarri's side. Sol Bamba had given the visitors a shock lead inside the opening 20 minutes, but an Eden Hazard hat-trick and late Willian goal meant Neil Warnock's side were left still searching for their first win of the season. Madine started on the bench but entered the fray for Danny Ward on 77 minutes. The former Carlisle and Sheffield Wednesday man had joined Cardiff from Bolton the previous season but struggled to find his form and live up to the Goal Machine nickname fans of his previous clubs has bestowed on him. He featured just 6 times this season before being loaned out to Sheffield United in January where he would help the Blades return to the Premier League. The striker stayed on in Wales until January 2020 when he joined Blackpool.
