Notes - Very rare player shirt believed to have been worn by Piatti for the friendly against Manchester United, played at Old Trafford on 12th August 2014. The sides met for the first time since a 1-1 draw in the Champions League group stage in 2010. A close game saw the hosts take the through Darren Feltcher shortly after the break, only for Los Che to hit back through Rodrigo with 20 minutes to play. It looks as if both sides would have to settle for a draw until a late Marouane Fellaini goal stole the bragging rights for the hosts. Piatti started on the bench but came on for Sofiane Feghouli on 57 minutes. The former Almería man was embarking on his 4th season with the side and made 30 appearances in all competitions bagging 7 goals to help the club to an impressive 4th place finish in La Liga. He would stay at the Mestalla until 2016 when he joined Espanyol on loan before making the move permanent the following year.
