Notes - Very rare player shirt believed to have been worn by Montero for the Premier League match against Manchester City, played at the Etihad Stadium on 22nd November 2014. The Swans came into this one on the back of a big 2-1 win over Arsenal and were sitting an impressive 5th in the table. A close game here saw Wilfried Bony give the Jacks an early lead but goals from Stevan Jovetić and Yaya Touré meant City came from behind to take all 3 points. Montero played the full match and was in his first season with the Swans having joined from Mexican outfit Morelia in the summer. The former Villarreal man made 34 appearances in all competitions scoring once in a win over Stoke as Cary Monk's side finished an impressive 8th in the Premier League. He stayed on in Wales until 2021 when he returned to Mexico with Querétaro having made 84 appearances in total for Swansea. The winger continued to feature for the Ecuadorian national side this year and won an impressive 64 caps in total for his country between 2007-18.
