Notes - Home shirt as worn when The Canaries found themselves back in The Championship and started the campaign flying, but after some poor mid-season form boss Neil Adams resigned at the turn of the year. The board made the bold appointment of 33 year-old Alex Neil as the man to guide the club back to the Premier League, it proved a shrewd choice as he won 8 of his first 10 games. The side finished 3rd in campaign, earning a place in the play-offs. In the semi-final the Yellows were drawn against bitter arch rivals Ipswich Town, the first leg finished 1-1 at Portman Road, but then Norwich proved far too good for the Tractor Boys and beat them 3-1 at Carrow Road. In the final Norwich beat Middlesbrough 2-0 with goals from Jerome and Redmond, sealing a swift return back to the Premier League, in a memorable campaign for Canary supporters
