Notes - Away shirt as worn by Brendan Rodgers' attacking force when they took the Premier League by storm and came desperately close to claiming their first title in 24 years. The Reds legend was in fine form once again, scoring 14 goals in 39 games from midfield. He also become Liverpool's longest-serving captain and broke Billy Liddell's record for most consecutive league campaigns scored in. Gerrard alongside manager Brendan Rodgers decided a change in position was needed to continue to perform at the highest level. Part way through the season he was converted from his usual attacking midfield role to a deep lying playmaker, it proved to be a success with many of Liverpool's attacks this season coming from Gerrard's long range passing ability to two very eager strikers in Suárez and Sturridge
