Notes - Ultra rare player shirt believed to have been prepared for Sturridge ahead of the 2012 FIFA Club World Cup in Japan. As Champions League winners The Blues qualified directly into the Semi-Final stage where they faced Mexican outfit Monterrey who had beaten South Koren side Ulsan Hyundai 3-1 in the quarters. Rafa Benítez’s side ran out 3-1 winners thanks to goals from Juan Mata, Fernando Torres and a Dárvin Chávez own goal. In the final they met Brazilian outfit Corinthians who triumphed 1-0 in Yokohama thanks to a goal from Peruvian international Paolo Guerrero. Sturridge didn’t feature in either game and neither did this classy white Adidas shirt with Chelsea opting to wear their home kit in both fixtures. The former Man City man opted to leave Stamford Bridge this season in January for Liverpool with the Reds paying a reported £12 million to secure his services. He made 96 appearances in total for Chelsea bagging 24 goals and winning a Premier League title, two FA Cups and the coveted Champions League along the way.
