Notes - Elite-level boots produced by Adidas in 2010 from their iconic F50 adizero speed silo, debuted by Lionel Messi at the World Cup in South Africa that year. This revolutionary design of the F50 was the first to feature a colour changing shimmer that switches between purple and green depending on light reflection. The upper supports an ultralight synthetic on an Adidas 'sprint frame' chassis to deliver a boot that weighs in at just 164g - the world's lightest commercially available boot at the time. A single layer of Adidas 'SprintSkin' coats the forefront for improved dribbling, while internal TPU bands offer additional support and a glove-like fit. The outsole supports an Adidas 'TRAXION' configuration with 11 re-designed studs that are built for speed on firm ground surfaces. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner used the boot throughout an underwhelming tournament for Argentina, who crashed out at the quarter-final stage with a 4-0 defeat to Germany.
