Notes - Away shirt as worn in the Hatters first season outside of the Football League since their return in 1920. Luton aimed to make an immediate return but struggled initially to adjust to life in the Conference, costing Mick Harford his job. Richard Money was appointed as his successor and lead the side to an unbeaten run of 14 games towards the end of the season that propelled them to a second-place finish in the league. However, the side suffered 1-0 defeats in both home and away legs to York City to mean it would be a second season in the Conference for Luton
