The sides played out a 0-0 draw with few scoring chances for the visitors after they were reduced to 10 men following Cyril Jeunechamp's 31st minutes dismissal. Kanté played the full 90 minutes as he so often did this season, the former Strasbourg man made 34 appearances in all competitions helping the side to an impressive 8th place finish. This was the defender's second campaign on the French Riviera after joining the side in 2006, he spent one more season with the club before joining Greek outfit Panathinaikos in 2009. Kanté continued to be a key member of the Malian international side this season and earned 41 caps in total for his country between 2001-12 , he later enjoyed spells with Sochaux and Ajaccio at club level before retiring in 2015.
