Notes - Very rare player shirt believed to have been worn by Kern in the Bundesliga match against Werder Bremen, played at the DKB-Arena in Rostock on 15th April 2008. This was the sides' second meeting this season, Hansa had lost the first game 1-0 and looked to make amends at home. After a goalless first half it was the visitors who took the lead through Torsten Frings but Hansa substitute Sebastian Hähnge found an equaliser with just under 15 minutes to play. However, Bremen snatched all 3 points thanks to a late Ivan Klasnic strike. Kern started the game but came off on 73 minutes as the side looked for a way back into the game. The striker was in good form this season scoring 12 goals in 35 appearances for the club this season but his goals couldn't prevent the side finishing 17th in the league and returning to the second tier. The highlight of the season for the former Linz and Regensburg man was undoubtedly his hat-trick in the thrilling 3-2 win over East German rivals Energie Cottbus on matchday 13. The striker made over 150 appearances for Hansa in his four years at the club before moving to Erzgebirge in the summer of 2010.
