Notes - Goalkeeper shirt as worn during the season in which Van Der Sar helped the side to Premiership triumph in 2007. This design was worn when he saved a penalty in the derby against City which gave the side the title with Chelsea failing to beat Arsenal the next day. Boasting numerous honours from his time with Ajax including the Champions League and already a proven Premier League player after 4 seasons with Fulham, van der Sar joined the Red Devils at the age of 34 but showed he still had plenty of seasons left of playing at the highest level. His signing, and that of Nemanja Vidic and Patrice Evra in the January transfer window of 2006, helped transform United's defence into perhaps one of the greatest in Europe throughout the mid to late 2000s. He retired at the end of the 2010-11 season with 4 Premier League titles and a second Champions league winners medal to add to his long list of honours
