Notes - Very rare player shirt believed to have been worn by Akagündüz in the UEFA Cup First Round 2nd leg against AZ Alkmaar played at Kayseri Atatürk on the 28th September 2006. This was the club's first ever European campaign which was secured thanks to their 5th place finish in the Süper Lig in 05-06. The Anadolu Y?ld?z? had seen off FC Sopron and Larissa in the Intertoto Cup before defeating KF Tirana in the play-offs to make it to this stage. They returned to Turkey with two away goals from their 3-2 defeat in Alkmaar so were still very much in the tie here. The side got off to the perfect start when star striker and Gol Kral? winner Gökhan Ünal put them ahead after only 11 minutes. The visitors hit back in the second half though and after Mousa Dembélé had equalised Kayserispor just could not find another and the tie ended in a 4-3 aggregate defeat. Akagündüz joined the action as 75th minute substitute as boss Simsek desperately looked for a decisive goal. The forward moved to the club in the summer from Rapid Vienna but spent only 6 months in Kayseri before signing for Hellas Verona
