The side ended on a high though as they produced an impressive performance in a 3-1 victory as they blew the Dutch side away in the first half. Darcheville started the match, and scored the third goal for his side with a powerful run followed by well placed finish, before being replaced in the 70th minute after picking up a yellow card. The striker spent the majority of his career with Bordeaux, featuring over 150 times between 2002-07. This was his final season with the side, scoring 11 in 34 matches, before moving to Rangers where he spent 2 years
