Notes - Extremely rare player shirt believed to have been worn by Hüseyin in the 2006 World Cup Qualification Group 2 match against Denmark played at BJK İnönü Stadium, Istanbul on the 3rd September 2005. The two teams had drawn 1-1 in Copenhagen earlier in the campaign and the pressure was on with both vying for a top two finish in the group. The match was a thriller with Denmark leading at half-time through Claus Jensen before a second half turnaround, with Okan and then Tümer getting on the score-sheet which looked to have sealed the win for Turkey. However Søren Larsen popped up with a 93rd minute equaliser for the visitors and keep the race for the top two spots alive. Hüseyin was brought on just after half-time to add some extra steel to the midfield, which he manage to do, whilst also receive a yellow card in the 70th minute. Turkey went on to hold their nerve with two hard-fought 1-0 wins against Ukraine and Albania to seal second place, ahead of Denmark, and qualify for the Play-Offs. This was the first time a World Cup patch had been worn pre-tournament and they were not universally enforced by FIFA. The Trabonspor captain made 34 appearances in his international career, spanning from 1998-2007.
