Player - Hotly tipped Walsall striker Matty Fryatt #9
Features
Notes - Very rare player shirt believed to have been issued to or worn by Fryatt during the 2005 UEFA European Under-19 Championship in Northern Ireland. The Young Lions went unbeaten in the group stage finishing runners-up to France to reach the Semi-Finals. A superb performance from Fryatt saw him hit a hat-trick against Serbia and Montenegro as England booked their spot in the Final. They faced France and had already drawn 1-1 with Les Blues in the Group Stage. Despite taking the lead through Derby's Lee Holmes a second half French fightback saw Martin Hunter's side fall to a 3-1 defeat. Fryatt featured 6 times in total for the U19s but would never win a call up to the senior side. He did however enjoy goal filled spells with Leicester, Hull and Nottingham Forest at club level.
