Notes - Extremely rare player shirt believed to have been worn by Nielsen for the friendly match against England, played at Parken Stadium in Copenhagen on 17th August 2005. This was the first meeting between the sides since a superb 3-2 comeback victory for the Danes at Old Trafford in 2003 and they made it back to back victories over the Three Lions for the first time ever here. Following a slow first half a superb ten minutes from the hosts saw them fire in 3 goals to stun Sven-Göran Eriksson's side. Dennis Rommedahl, Jon Dahl Tomasson and Michael Gravgaard did the damage before Wayne Rooney cut the Dane's lead to 2 on 80 minutes only for Søren Larsen to bag a stoppage time goal, final score 4-1. Nielsen started and played the first half before coming off for Gravgaard. The defender had earned his first cap back in 2002 and featured 10 times in total for his country. At club level he was a one team man spending his entire 15 year career with Brøndby and helping the side to 5 Superliga titles and 4 Danish Cups between 1993-2008.
