Notes - Very rare player shirt believed to have been worn by Yakubu in the Premiership match against Manchester United, played at Old Trafford on 26th February 2005. Pompey had beaten United 2-0 at Fratton Park back in October where Yakubu himself had grabbed a goal and now travelled to the North West in the hopes of doing a rare double over The Reds. Wayne Rooney scored first for the hosts inside the opening 10 minutes but Gary O'Neil levelled the scores shortly after the break. It looked as if the game was headed for a draw until a Rooney's second of the night just 9 minutes from time sealed the three points for United. Yakubu played the full 90 minutes, the Nigerian was in fine form yet again this season bagging 17 goals in his 35 appearances in all competitions this campaign as Pompey finished 16th in the Premiership. This would his last season at Fratton Park though before joining Middlesbrough and he left the south coast with an impressive record of 43 goals in 92 appearances for Pompey
