Notes - Extremely rare player shirt believed to have been worn by Carson for the Premier League match against Manchester City, played at The City of Manchester Stadium on 9th April 2005. The Reds had come from behind to run out 2-1 winners at Anfield back in August after goals from Milan Baroš and Steven Gerrard. Another close game here looked to be headed for a 0-0 stalemate until a last gasp Kiki Musampa strike stole all 3 points for Man City at the death. Carson played the full match and had joined Liverpool in January from Leeds for a reported £750,000 as competition for first choice Jerzy Dudek. He went on to make 5 appearances in total this season notably starring in the 2-1 win over Juventus in the Champions League Quarter-Final as Liverpool went on to claim the European Cup for the 5th time with victory over AC Milan in Istanbul. He stayed on the books at Anfield until 2008 but was loaned out to Sheffield Wednesday, Charlton and Aston Villa during that time before moving to West Brom permanently for a reported £3.25 million.
