The Three Lions came into this one on the back of 2-2 draw with Macedonia at St Mary's but ran out 2-0 winners here thanks to goals from Michael Owen and trade mark David Beckham free-kick. Heskey started the match and played 80 minutes before coming off for Wayne Rooney. The former Leicester man featured in 4 of England's 8 qualifiers as they went unbeaten to top the Group ahead of runners-up Turkey. The Liverpool man earned 62 caps in total for his country between 199-2010 netting 7 goals and featuring at 4 major tournaments.
