Notes - Extremely rare player shirt believed to have been issued to Vlaović for the Champions League Group E match against Manchester United played at Old Trafford on 16th September 2003. The Shamrocks' European adventure got off to the worst of starts here as they were thumped 5-0 in the North West after goals from Silvestre, Fortune, Solskjær, Butt and Djemba-Djemba. Vlaović was likely glad not to be included in this one but did feature 3 times in the competition as Panathinaikos finished bottom of Group E winning just once against Scottish side Rangers. This was the veteran striker's final season before hanging up his boots and he would go on to help the side to a domestic double before doing so as they claimed the League title for the first time since 1995-96. A hero of the Croatia team's of Euro 96 and France '98 he retired after 52 appearances and 15 goals for his country and spent the last 4 years of his career in Athens having previously enjoyed spells with Valencia, Padova and Croatia Zagreb.
