Notes - Extremely rare player shirt believed to have been issued to Diouf for the 2002-03 Champions League campaign. After his exploits at the 2002 World Cup, Diouf was snapped up by Gerard Houllier in a £10M transfer. The Reds competed in the Champions League this year and this black design was only worn once in the competition in a 3-1 win at Spartak Moscow, a match in which Diouf featured and wore a long sleeved shirt. This would be one of only two wins the side managed in the group stage though which was enough only for a 3rd place finish and a switch into the UEFA Cup. Diouf made 47 appearances scoring 6 goals in this campaign but his stay at Anfield would last only one more season after this
