Notes - Ultra rare player shirt believed to have been worn by Gunnarsson during a 2002 World Cup Group 3 Qualifying match against Denmark played at Idraetsparken, Copenhagen on 6th October 2001. This was the final group match for both sides, with Iceland already knowing they could no longer qualify. The first match between these sides finished 2-1 to Denmark in Reykjavík after the Danes had fought back from behind. This match was nowhere near as close, with Denmark running riot and inflicting Iceland to a ruthless 6-0 defeat. Two goals each from Sand and Gravensen came in between a 15th minute opener from Rommedalh and a last minute strike from Michaelsen. Gunnarsson played the full match, contributing to his total of 74 caps during a 12 year period between 1997-2009. The midfielder started his career out in Iceland with KR before having spells in England with Stoke, Nottingham Forest, Watford and Reading, until he return to KR in 2013 where he retired at the end of the season
