Notes - Very rare player shirt believed to have been issued to or worn by a #4 during the period 2000-02. Die Roten Teufel co-hosted Euro 2000 with noisy neighbors Holland and were placed in a tricky Group B alongside, Sweden, Turkey and Italy. Their tournament got of to a great start with a 2-1 win over the Swedes in Brussels but that was followed up by defeats to Turkey and eventual finalist Italy as the side were knocked out early. This minimalist Nike design rolled over and was used early on in the side's qualifying campaign for the 2002 World Cup. Robert Waseige's side bounced back from the disappointment of the Euros to finish runners-up behind Croatia in their qualifying group and then beat the Czech republic in the play-offs to book their place at the finals in Korea and Japan.
