Notes - Rare European shorts as worn in the Champions League fixture between Arsenal and Mallorca on 12th September 2001. Despite the shadow of the 9/11 terrorist attacks a day earlier, the match went ahead, with the Gunners putting in a thoroughly uninspired performance. Ashley Cole saw red early on in giving a penalty away to Alberto Luque, converted by Engonga, and it was only the stellar showing of David Seaman that kept the final score respectable for the English side. This was the first and only time this shirt and shorts combo was worn by the Gunners, who typically wore their white away shorts while on the road in Europe
