Notes - Very rare player shirt believed to have been worn by Hendry in the Divison One Play-Off Final against Preston North End played at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff on the 28th May 2001. The veteran defender moved to the Reebok Stadium first on a two month loan from Coventry City in December '00 before making the move permanent in a £375K transfer in February '01. Hendry was still a regular in the Scotland national team at this time and brought a wealth of much needed experience to a Wanderers side pushing for promotion back to the Premier League. After a 3rd place finish The Trotters beat West Brom in the Semi Finals and now came up against north-west rivals Preston in a Final showdown in Cardiff. Hendry played the full match at centre back alongside Gundi Bergsson and kept a clean sheet as Sam Allardyce's men romped to a 3-0 win and a famous return to the top flight. Farrelly settled the nerves early on but the side left it until the final minutes to wrap things up with both Ricketts and Gardner scoring late to clinch it
