Notes - Extremely rare player shirt believed to have been worn by Rösler in the Champions League Group F match against PSV played the Philips Stadion on the 21st October 1998. Kaiserslautern had shocked German football by going from 2.Bundesliga winners in '97 to Bundesliga champions in '98. Next up in their sights was the Champions League. FCK went into this match having beaten Benfica and drawn with HJK Helsinki. Otto Rehhagel's men ground out an impressive 2-1 victory in Eindhoven here, finding a winner through substitute Jürgen Rische soon after Khokhlov had equalised Riedl's opener. Rösler had been brought in to add some experience to the front line after 4 prolific years over in England with Manchester City. The striker proved an astute signing scoring 13 goals in all competitions including a Champions League hat-trick against HJK as the side went on to reach the Quarter Finals before Bayern ended their dream
