Notes - Extremely rare player shirt believed to have been issued to or worn by Owen during the period 1998-99. The youngster was enjoying superb seasons with Liverpool in the Premier League and his great form was rewarded in February 1998 when he earned his first full cap in a 2-0 friendly defeat to Chile despite only previously playing once for the Under-21 set up. He then was included in the squad for the World Cup in France and dazzled the globe with superb goals against Romania and Argentina as England lost out in the Round of 16. This design rolled over to Euro 2000 qualifying. The Liverpool striker went on to represent the Three Lions in 5 major tournaments making 89 appearances in total and scoring an impressive 40 goals between 1998 and 2008.
