Notes - Very rare player shirt believed to have been worn by Meijer in the UEFA Cup 2nd Round 2nd leg against Glasgow Rangers played at Ibrox on the 5th November 1998. Rangers had won 2-1 in Leverkusen to put themselves in a strong position in the tie but Bayer had won their last Bundesliga game 8-2 so were full of confidence. It was not to be though and Johansson put the hosts ahead here and despite Kirsten equalising on the night they still went out 3-2 on aggregate. Meijer started the match but came off after 77 minutes for Niko Kovač as boss Christoph Daum mixing things up in hope of finding an equaliser. The Dutchman spent 3 seasons with the club but this would be his last before a move to the Premier League with Liverpool
