Notes - Rare player shirt believed to have been worn in the UEFA U-18 Championship qualification Group 6 match against Belgium played in Stade Josy Barthel, Luxembourg on the 17th October 1996. Portugal did not give any options to the Red Devils and cruised to a 3-1 victory thanks to goals from Miguel Vargas, Jorge Cordeiro and a promising young winger Simão Sabrosa who got the 3rd goal of the night whereas Wesley Sonck scored the consolation goal nearly the end of the encounter. Portugal qualified for Finals on goal difference as Germany and Turkey also finished with 12 points. The senior side also wore this design in matches against the Republic of Ireland and England.
