Notes - Classic design Adidas home shirt as worn by the former Serie A star and Champions League winner Lombardo when he made the shock move from Italian giants and title holders Juventus to Selhurst Park in 1997. His spectacular form during the start of the campaign led to an Azzuri recall in November - before injury cut short his season on international duty. Bizarre events followed when the former Sampdoria star; alongside Tomas Brolin, took charge of the first team early in 1998. The star duo could not prevent relegation but Lombardo admirably stayed on in South London. A financial crisis eventually led to his departure in 1999, but his performances lived long in the collective Eagles memory. Despite making just 49 appearances, his mazy runs and iconic look were enough to earn him a spot in the club's Centenary XI in 2005
