Notes - Ultra rare player shirt believed to have been issued to or worn by a #6 during the period 1995-96. Another solid season for the Sang et Or saw them record a second consecutive 5th placed finish in the French top flight. In Europe, Patrice Bergues' men reached the last 16 of the UEFA Cup before losing out to Czech outfit Slavia Prague in Extra-time. The side's regular #6 this season was a stalwart defender and club legend Jean-Guy Wallemme who was a permanent fixture in the side's back-line from 1986-98. He made over 400 appearances during his time at Stade Bollaert-Delelis and helped Lens claim the Ligue 1 title in 1997-98. This superb Olympic template was worn with various sponsors throughout the campaign with Liptonic featuring as the large central sponsor for that heart-breaking UEFA Cup loss to Slavia Prague.
