Notes - Ultra-rare home shirt as worn at USA '94 by all-time great Diego Armando Maradona. A god in Argentina, he proved his mortality after testing for banned drug, ephedrine, in one of the tournaments greatest ever scandals and tragedies. Wearing this design he played his last match for La Albiceleste, the 2-1 win over Nigeria in Massachusetts - and was central to the win after assisting Caniggia's expertly curled shot, somewhat remarkably also lasting 90 minutes. Five days later he failed a drugs test and was sent home. His redemption had proved to be brief. Health and disciplinary issues often blighted Diego but the good far outweighed the bad. Not since Pelé in '70 had one man so inspired a team to glory as in '86 and his legacy remains intact as perhaps the greatest footballer of all time
