Notes - Extremely rare player shirt believed to have been issued to Winterburn for the US Cup in June 1993. England jetted out to the US just a week after their defeat to Norway in qualification for the 94 World Cup and hit one of their lowest points with a shock 2-0 defeat to the hosts in Foxborough in their opening game of the round-robin tournament. It was an historic moment though as this was the first time an England away shirt was worn with a name and number on the back. This red design had been released back in 1990 and now featured a different style crest and Umbro logo compared to the first production. It was used again in this competition as the side were beaten 2-1 by Germany in Pontiac. Winterburn made his first England appearance since 1989 in this game, coming off the bench at half-time for Lee Sharpe, but it proved to be his second and final full international cap
